Following some other recent updates, we’ve revamped our Search page to make finding your next dog easier than ever. While the layout looks a bit different, these changes were designed to put more power at your fingertips to assist in your search.
What’s Changed?
- The "Filter Results" Menu: We’ve moved our search tools to a dedicated section that is always easy to reach.
- On Laptop/Desktop: Look for the permanent Filter Results sidebar on the left side of your screen.
- On Mobile: Tap the teal Filter button at the top of your results to open the full-screen filter menu.
- Granular Trait Selection: We’ve introduced more specific categories to help you narrow your search. You can now filter by Coat Pattern, Specific Colors, and even Seller Attributes (like "ID Verified") all in one place.
- Simplified Navigation: The top of the Search is now reserved for the essentials: Breed, Location, and Purebred/Designer options. This keeps the basics simple while you focus on the details in the sidebar or Filter menu.
Why It's an Upgrade
- Less Searching, More Finding: By removing the "Advanced Search" toggle, we’ve made the page faster to navigate. Everything from age range to health guarantees is now visible at a glance.
- Better Visibility: You can now see all your active filters at once, making it easier to track exactly what parameters you’ve set for your search.
- Consistent Experience: Whether you are browsing on a phone or a computer, you have access to the same powerful tools to find your perfect match.
Tips for the New Search
- Use the Price and Age sliders in the sidebar to dial in your budget and preferred puppy age range.
- Looking to skip dogs that already have deposits? The Hide On Hold checkbox is now conveniently located at the bottom of the sidebar.
- Click Clear Filter at the top of the sidebar to remove filters you've applied on laptops/desktops.
- Tap Reset at the top of the Filter Results screen on mobile devices.
- Want to hold on to a detailed search with filters, breeds, and other specifics? Simply click Save at the top to add the search to your Saved Searches (available if you're logged in to a Puppies.com account) so it can be accessed at any point in the future.
