Trusted Devices

To keep your Puppies.com account as safe as possible, we track which computers and phones are used to log in to your account. To give you even more control, we've introduced features which let you manage which Trusted Devices have access to your Puppies.com account.

What is a New Device Login Alert?

Whenever someone logs into your account from a phone, tablet, or computer that we don't recognize, we will send you a New Device Login Alert email. This email provides several key details:

  • Device & Type: (e.g., Chrome on Windows)
  • Location: The city and state where the login happened
  • Time: Exactly when the login occurred
  • IP Address: The digital "fingerprint" of the internet connection used

If You Receive an Alert for a Device You Don't Recognize

If you receive a login alert and you are not currently trying to log in, someone else may have your password. Follow these steps immediately to secure your account:

1. Verify the Email is Real

Check the sender's email address at the very top of the message. Official emails will always come from support@puppies.com  . If it's from any other address, do not click any links as it may be a "phishing" attempt by a scammer.

2. Confirm the Location and IP Address

It is common for an alert to show a city near you rather than your exact town because internet providers often route connections through nearby major "hubs". To see if it's really you:

  • Go to whatismyipaddress.com on the device you are currently using.
  • Compare that number to the IP Address listed in the Puppies.com alert email.
  • If the numbers match, the login was you! You can safely ignore the alert.

3. Access Your Trusted Devices

If the IP address does not match yours, you should review your account immediately:

  • From the Site: Log in, click the Menu icon (three horizontal lines) in the upper right, and select "Trusted Devices".
  • From the Email: Click the red "Review Login Activity" button.

4. Identify and Revoke Access

  • Look through the list of devices. If you see one you don't recognize, click the red Revoke button next to it. This immediately logs the intruder out.
  • Change Your Password: Once you have revoked access, update your password to a new, strong one.

💡 Security Tip

If you log in from a public computer (like at a library or a hotel), always remember to Log Out when you are finished. For extra safety, you can visit the Trusted Devices page afterward and click "Revoke" on that public computer to make sure nobody else can use your session.
