How do I upload a photo?
High-quality photos are essential for showcasing your available puppies and attracting potential buyers. Follow the steps below to ensure your photos are uploaded correctly in order to showcase your pups in the best paw-sible way!
To Upload a Photo to a Listing:
- Login to your Puppies.com account.
- Access your My Listings page.
- Click Edit next to an existing listing, or click List New (if you wish to add photos to a new listing).
- Click the link at the bottom which reads Upload up to _ more photos.
- Select the appropriate photo(s) from the File Explorer/Images page that opens automatically.
- Click Done or Open (depending on your device type) to start the photo upload.
- Wait for the status bar to fill to ensure the upload is complete.
- Once the photos are done uploading, scroll to the bottom and click Save Listing.
Please note:
- Up to 10 photos can be uploaded per listing.
- Please upload photos that you own or have personally taken. Do not upload photos which belong to others; doing so may result in disciplinary action.
- Puppies.com accepts PNG or JPG/JPEG images only. We do not accept HEIC images.
- Photos need to be less than 35 MB, but photos 10 MB or smaller often work best.
- We strongly recommend using a stable internet connection for photos uploads. Unstable network connections can cause issues with photo uploads (especially for larger images).
If you experience issues:
- Don’t Drag and Drop to Upload: We don’t support dragging-and-dropping photos onto the Upload icon. Instead, simply click the Upload link, select the image file, and click Open, Done, or Select (depending on your device type) to upload the image.
- Test One Photo: Try uploading just one photo and immediately clicking "Save Listing" at the bottom to see if it holds. This can bypass issues caused by uploading multiple large photos at once.
- Permissions: If you are using a mobile device, check your phone’s settings to ensure your mobile browser has permission to access your photo gallery.
- Patience is Key: Large files can take a moment to process. Please wait for the photo to fully appear on the screen before scrolling down and clicking "Save Listing."
- Try our Android app. If you're an Android user, downloading our app can provide an alternate way to upload photos as a workaround to any browser-based issues.
