How do I contact someone about a puppy?

Once you locate a dog you're interested in, the next step is to reach out to the seller to make an inquiry about the dog. Once you've created an account, we make contacting sellers easy through our on-site Message Center.

If necessary, you can also contact a seller through their Profile.

Trouble Using the Message Center?

• Check your Verifications. In order to message others, your Email Verification and your Phone Verification must be completed. See How do I verify my email address? and How do I verify my phone number? for instructions.
• Is the listing On Hold? If so, you can't contact the seller about the listing (as the dog is spoken for). However, you can save the listing to your Favorites, or you can set up a Saved Search for similar listings.

A Few Important Safety Tips:

• We recommend making initial contact with sellers through the Message Center for your safety. Once you've exchanged a few messages with the seller, you can then proceed to communication outside of the site if you feel it is appropriate to do so.
• Report or Block any suspicious messages. Check out How do I Report a User or Message? and How do I Block a User? for instructions. Reporting/blocking makes it easier for our Support Team to review and take any necessary actions.
• Avoid providing sensitive information like banking or card information, social security numbers, or six-digit verification codes.
• Remember that Puppies.com Support will never contact you through the Message Center. Our Support Team will never contact you through your Message Center, and we'll never 1) request your password or login information, 2) request your card information, or 3) direct you to a different site to login or "verify" your payment information. Any message of this sort is a scam. If you receive such a message, report it to our Support Team and do not reply.
