How do I take a screenshot?
Our Support Team may request a "screenshot" of what you're seeing while troubleshooting a reported issue. A screenshot is a digital image which captures what's displayed on a computer, smartphone, or other device screen at a specific moment in time.
Screenshots are valuable troubleshooting tools because they enable our Support Team to see what you are seeing on your end; this information can help us diagnose the problem you are experiencing and work towards a recommended solution.
The process for taking a screenshot depends on the type of device you're using:
- To take a screenshot on a PC, click the
Print Screen (PrtScn)
key on your keyboard. The screenshot is copied to the clipboard. Open your Paint program, typeCtrl + V
together to paste the screenshot, and save the image. - If you are using Windows 11, clicking
Print Screen (PrtScn)
will open a "Screen Snip" option which enables you to select the portion of the page you wish to screenshot. Simply click in a corner and drag to the opposite corner to take a screenshot of the entire screen. - To take a screenshot on a Mac, press
Shift + Command (⌘) + 3
at the same time. The screenshot will be saved to your desktop. - To take a screenshot on an iPhone, please refer to the Apple Support page here for instructions specific to different iPhone models.
- To take a screenshot on a mobile Android device, please refer to Google’s Support page here. (Please note that the instructions on this page refer to devices running Android 11 and up, so if you’re using an older version of Android, we recommend performing an internet search for instructions specific to the version of Android you’re currently using.)
Once you've saved a screenshot of the issue you're experiencing, simply reach out to our Support Team at support@puppies.com to provide a description of the issue and include your screenshot as an attachment.
